Well, writing - like any creative pursuit that employs vulnerability - thrives on three things: Support, Collaboration and Deadlines. Though a seemingly solitary enterprise, writing can be so much more fun and abundant when we team up.

Here's the truth: Everyone has a voice. Everyone is a storyteller. Everyone can write. Everyone. Yes, this means you! My goal is to help you open up to the stories and messages inside of you and bring them to life on the page.

So, what is Creative Collaboration? When you hire me as your writing collaborator, I bring a combination of intuitive writing and editing skills that rest on a background in fiction, non-fiction and business writing, corporate communications, adult learning theory, professional coaching, psychology, NLP, spiritual principles and The Law of Attraction.

I take your writing in whatever stage (i.e. idea, rough copy, fairly well fleshed out) and make sense of it, give it structure, and make it POP - using your own writing voice and style as a guide.

With a creative flair and vivid imagery, I write in a way that makes the reader think you’re sitting together talking over a latte. Readers really connect with the voice because it’s fully authentic, fun and relatable. It’s REAL! That level of trust and connection between author and reader is heightened, and so the reader is eager to know more about you, or to do business with you.

It’s what we’re all trying to do, right? Get readers to know and trust us so that they’ll do business with us.

Writing clients find this Creative Collaboration most useful to:

  (Clients do a "brain dump" onto the page then I create a flow and structure to the writing)

This Creative Collaboration typically does NOT extend to website copywriting or marketing collateral. Clients and I find that our collaboration process shines when focused on writing (fiction and non-fiction) that is educational, inspirational and at the core of their purpose and mission. There is a particular art and science to website and marketing copywriting that differs from the flow of other writing.

An Hourly Affair

So, bottomline, Laura...what's the cost? This Creative Collaboration is available for $60 per hour, with a minimum of 30 minutes per project and then broken down and billed by 15 minute increments.

Now, I know that there are writers and editors out there who charge less - and those that charge more. When looking for a writing partner, it's best to know what you're looking for - and what you are comparing.
